About Coins Of The Realm

Coins of the Realm was established in 1974 by Peter A. Boyer, an avid numismatist. Our stamp division, Universal Stamps, and jewelry division, Anthony's Jewelers, were launched a few years later. We have remained at the same location in Rockville, Maryland under the same ownership and management providing professional service to the Washington Metro area.

Our goal is to provide consistent, competitive pricing to the public, whether we are buying or selling. We have established a reputation as accurate graders of coins, stamps, paper money, and diamonds.

We are also members of a national computer network that allows us live coverage of the volatile coin and precious metal industry. In today's marketplace, this information combined with our experience and attendance at national coin and stamp conventions is a must to provide our customers with accurate pricing.

I'm a big fan of this place because these folks are honest, knowledgable and truly know about coins! The best part is that no matter how many people are in the store, you should expect an employee to speak to you with the first two minutes. They also take time to answer any questions you have about coins; they also keep up with the price of silver. As long as they keep giving this kind of service to their customers, I will continue to give them my business.

I was very pleased with the customer service and the extensive knowledge of the certified numismatic who appraised my small collection of coins and offered me the going rate. I found the staff to be very courteous and interested in helping me, and not pressure me to sell. Coins of the Realm is a great place to visit if you are a collector also. The amount of collectibles, coins, stamps, and memorabilia they offer was surprising to me. I highly recommend to anyone interested in selling, or buying to check them out.
